Thermal

See what your energy bills are trying to tell you, before the regulator does.

One of a handful licensed to do this

I fly commercial thermal drone surveys across Suffolk and the wider region, picking up heat loss, moisture and hot spots that traditional inspection can miss. The result is evidence you can act on, turned round quickly, without scaffolding or access equipment.

WHAT THERMAL DRONE SURVEYS REVEAL

A drone-mounted thermal camera picks up heat loss through roofs, walls and glazing, moisture that's got into a building but isn't yet visible to the eye, and hot spots in electrical and mechanical plant. It also flags air leakage and insulation failures that are easy to miss from ground level.

Traditional inspection can take days and still miss what's happening across a large roof. A thermal survey shows the whole picture in one pass.

REGULATORY CONTEXT (MEES/EPC)

Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards are tightening, and EPC ratings are under closer scrutiny than they used to be. Net Zero commitments are moving from ambition to deadline for a lot of commercial landlords and facilities teams.

A thermal survey gives you the evidence to act before any of that becomes urgent, whether that's for an EPC improvement case or simply knowing where your next spend should go.

DEER MANAGEMENT SURVEY

Thermal works on more than buildings. Flown at first light or after dark, a drone survey counts deer across an estate or woodland block, including those lying up in cover that walk counts miss. You get a count and a map of where they were found, ready for a cull plan or deer management plan. I also run fawn checks in long grass ahead of silage cutting.

BUILDING TYPES COVERED

Warehousing, distribution centres, commercial offices, industrial units, and other large sites where heat loss is expensive and hard to see from the ground.

If you manage a portfolio of similar sites, a thermal survey works just as well site by site as it does as part of a wider programme.

THE CASE FOR ROI

A large roof that would take days to inspect from scaffolding or a cherry picker can be surveyed from the air in a single visit, with no access equipment and no disruption to the site.

The evidence you get back points you straight to where money is being lost, so any spend on repairs or insulation goes where it will actually make a difference.

OTHER INFOMATION

Every survey is covered by commercial third-party insurance and flown within the requirements that apply to commercial drone work.

If you need the results in a particular format, for an EPC assessor, an insurer or an internal report, let me know when you enquire and I'll build that into the survey.

SEE WHAT OTHERS MISS.

SAVE WHAT MATTERS.

A thermal survey gets you the same evidence as a traditional inspection, without the scaffolding, the disruption, or the time.

Tell me the building type, its location, roughly how much roof or wall area is involved, and what you're hoping to find out, and I'll come back to you with next steps.
